Just think of this old chronically ill mother in a poor environment caring for four orphans learning at Karanda primary school. The Karanda AIC is looking for a kind hearted person to assist her in by providing shelter, she often lives in evacuation centre during sporadic flood caused by River Nyando and cannot afford adequate meals to orphans. Imagine this old Grandmother lost her husband, two sons and is left to take care of six orphans in who are learning at Karanda Primary school, This pathetic scenario has influenced social lives and Karanda AIC often conduct psychosocial and material support to these old emaciated grandmothers with very little access to food and nutrition, health care. There narrated stories illustrate the far they have struggled with their grandchildren who similarly are subjected psychological torture due to untimely death of theirĀ parents when they were pretty young, life has never been so easy for us, one of the orphans said in her remark during Karanda AIC community mapping outreach.
